If you or someone you know is hurting from an abortion experience.... You Are Not Alone!
The unwanted pregnancy and subsequent abortion may have been years ago, but the painful memories still tear at your soul. Are you alone with the inner conflict and turmoil?
No. Health care professionals across the U.S. are seeing a dramatic increase in the number of women with similar symptoms. And research shows that these women are suffering from a problem known as post abortion syndrome (PAS); deep-rooted guilt associated with a past abortion.
At FLPC our PACE (Post Abortion Counseling and Education) volunteers have had personal experience with abortion and truly understands the confusion, emptiness and heartache that so often follows.
How can a support group help?
Following an abortion, a feeling of relief and denial are the most common reactions. Although it appears that abortion promises to relieve anxieties related to an unplanned pregnancy, not only are the promises false, it leaves a whole new set of burdens. Unfortunately, denial frequently prevents a post-abortal woman from connecting her present problems to the abortion event in her past.
For women we offer:
"Forgiven & Set Free" --- an in-depth 10-week study consisting of small groups or 1-on-1 counseling.
The Topics Discussed Are:
- How Do I Know Where I Need Healing?
- Character of God
- Relief and Denial
- Anger
- The Need To Forgive
- Depression
- Forgiven & Set Free
- Acceptance
