Post Abortion Counseling - Men

'It's not your body,' 'It's not your decision,' and 'You have no say'; did you hear these words? Men suffer trauma after their child's abortion, but are not often understood. Many men question if they even have the right to feel anything following an abortion.

For every abortion that has taken place over the past 32 years, a man's life has also been affected by that abortion decision. But you are not alone!

The unplanned or even unwanted pregnancy and the abortion that followed may have been years ago, but seems like yesterday. The feelings you have kept hidden for all this time are real. The men whose lives have been touched by abortion are like silent, wounded warriors. Many feel a battle raging within, but can't identify the enemy. Men can't believe that it is as a result of abortion. Abortion is a safe, simple, legal procedure - isn't it?

At FLPC our PACE (Post Abortion Counseling and Education) volunteers have had personal experience with abortion and understand the battle, confusion and emptiness that so often follows.

For men we offer:

'Healing a Father's Heart' -- an in-depth 10-week study consisting of small groups or 1-on-1 counseling.

The Topics Discussed Are:
  • How Do I Know Where I Need Healing?
  • The Character of God
  • And God Made Man...
  • Relief and Denial
  • Anger
  • The Need to Forgive
  • Depression
  • Forgiven & Set Free
  • Acceptance
Post Abortion Identifying Symptoms:

If you can identify with 3 or more of the following, you are most likely suffering from the affects of a past abortion.

  • Guilt/Sorrow
  • Anxiety
  • Avoidance
  • Adverse reaction around children, discussions of abortion or anniversary date
  • Resentment/Unforgiveness
  • Alcohol/Drug abuse
